B Corp Certification designates a business as meeting high standards of verified performance, accountability and transparency. It covers a wide range of social and environmental factors from employee wellbeing, benefits and career development, client feedback programmes, and charitable work to environmental protection including supply chain practices. The process is rigorous and requires engagement across the whole business to provide insights into operations, structure, work processes and how stated values translate into action.
‘The B Corp Certification is the culmination of a project that has taken over 12 months to complete and has touched upon every part of our business,’ says Sarah Broad, Totum’s Head of Marketing and Projects. ‘It has enabled us to thoroughly review all of our structures and processes, and has instilled a culture of continuous improvement that we will take into our future work and business partnerships.’
